HOW TO FIND YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
Personal style is not about totally owning a whole different collection of clothes which no one on the earth has. It is about adding an element of YOU in your everyday or special attire.
1. Decide! how you want to pose yourself in front of the people:
We are all pretty aware how judgemental we humans are, so first decide what you want the
person in front of you to think of you . It is not about people pleasing but making an impression in front of the people so they can get an idea about you as soon as they see you(not trying to contradict 'don't judge a book by its cover").
Like dressing sharp makes one look professional and makes you feel empowered just like Barney Stinson (reference from How I met your mother).
2. Know your zone :
Understand what is more important to you whether it is comfort or style, whether your opinion is important to you or the opinion of the judgemental people around you because if you care more about what others think then you might not be comfortable in your own body in order to please others.
3. Analyze your schedule:
In order to completely ace this personal style situation, you must note down the environment around you, the activities you perform in a day whether you have more sit-work or more travel -work.
Knowing the former stuff helps in easing out the choice making "chaos", so, choose the fabric(obviously you would not want to wear leather pants like Ross on a hot day!/reference from F.R.I.E.N.D.S.) , the length of the cloth, the accessory accordingly.
4. Get an insight from your fashion idols:
If you still are confused about how you want to present yourself then just think about the people whose style you admire (Rachel Green, Lisa from blackpink , Kaia Gerber, Gigi Hadid.... :)uhh divas!!).
5. Make a budget and hunt for the essentials:
Shopping within the budget is a whole different alien concept which hardly people comprehend.
Do not splurge your money all at once just because you have found your personal style. First, go for the essentials which define your style and then buy other extra auxiliary items when you are confirmed that this is what defines you.
6. Accessorize:
Accessorizing does make an impact on your styling. They are an important but a small element of personal styling for instance pharell williams with hat, harry styles' bandana, adele's little black dress on red carpets. These are the minute things which make a big difference.
7. Dress and Check:
Finally, put on the piece of fabric on which you splurged your money on. If you still feel that it's not YOU. Then, begin the hunt , explore more again as long as you don't suffer any economic crisis.
8. Consistency:
If you feel YOU in your style then try to keep it consistent. Keeping your style consistent moulds your image in people's mind in the way you want them to.
